It all started with the purchase of Shiloh Tiger Bay,
a Sec. D colt. Although a wonderful performance pony, he didn't live up to my expectations as a stallion,
but narrowed my vision of what I wanted, in the breeding shed and in the show ring.
Fortunately I happened upon an overweight, shaggy stallion who turned out to be my swan.
Once his registration papers were found, there was no turning back. I was hooked on Welsh
Ponies. Heather Hill Brass Tacks became the foundation of my breeding program. He possessed
the kindest disposition imaginable. In 1992, Heather Hill Brass Tacks became the American National

Unfortunately, Brass Tacks left us with siring only 4 purebred Welsh and 8 Crossbreds.
A few to mention:

April has been an outstanding
broodmare nearing her LOM. She is dam of: Chaparral's Heartbeat (CH Youth English Pleasure), Chaparral's
Sweetheart (Multi Championships in Western Pleasure), Chaparral's Hawkeye (CH Hunter), Chaparral's
Bravada (Supreme CH In-Hand), all by Chaparral's Te Quiero. April's latest foal, Bridlewood Fool's
Gold, by Goldhills Most Wanted, is now showing and winning under saddle and in-hand. In 2009, April
started her undersaddle career. In 2010, April won her first Division Championship in Santa Barbara, CA!

"Brass Prince" is a pony full of character, wonderfully balanced, great reaching trot, uphill canter, and
lots of Welsh character. Currently showing with qualifing scores for CDS Young Rider Championships
in 1st Level. In 2009 Prince was shown by a 9 year old to Engligh High Point Show
Champion. I kept 2 daughters of Princes, Kacey Prom Queen and Kacey Amulet, both are making their
mark in the show ring. Prom Queen's full brother Kacey Independence is also proving himself as a
show pony winning 2007 SHA English High Point
and has had wonderful scores at Training Level Dressage.

Mary was a cornerstone in my riding lesson program for the very young kids. She is an incredible
Lead Line pony with Wins in Lead Line, Lead Line Trail, and Walk Only classes. Mary was also proving
herself in Dressage showing Training Level. I am looking forward to watching her future with the Tedford
Family in MN.
